Saturday June 13th - A bait well of big threadfin, a little chop and an outgoing tide I wouldn’t won’t to be anywhere else other than Egmont Key. An afternoon charter that turned out to be very productive. The tarpon were finally actively feeding of course when all the weekenders we out too. Boats everywhere make it a little more difficult to spot the fish but we had a good afternoon. Seven total hookups and three releases made the Giles family pretty happy. All three releases were in the 100lb range and most of the fish we saw were the same. We hooked one monster that never came up again and wore threw the 80lb leader like it was nothing, so lets just say it would have been close to 200lbs for fishing story purposes.
